The Straits Teppanyaki Turns 2 - Photo Editing

For this project, I worked on editing event photos for The Straits Teppanyaki’s 2nd anniversary celebration. The goal was to enhance the overall mood of the event while keeping the visuals authentic and emotional. I wanted the photos to reflect the lively atmosphere, warm lighting and memorable moments shared between guests.

I adjusted the tones, contrast and lighting to create a cohesive look across all images. Some shots were enhanced with warmer tones to highlight the cosy dining environment, while others were edited in black and white to emphasise emotion and storytelling. I also refined shadows and highlights to add depth and bring focus to the main subjects without losing the natural feel of the celebration.

The last image captures a quieter and more intimate moment of guests sitting and having a conversation. I chose to edit this photo in black and white to create a more moody and reflective atmosphere. By removing the colours, the focus shifts towards expressions, body language and interaction rather than the surroundings, making the image feel more emotional and storytelling-driven. The monochrome treatment enhances contrast and adds a subtle cinematic quality, presenting a calmer and more personal side of the celebration.

The images shown below capture different moments from the event, including the venue ambience, guests interacting, live music performance and candid conversations. Together, they showcase both the vibrant atmosphere of the restaurant and the meaningful experiences shared during the anniversary celebration.
